Has anyone fitted twin 40s to a 1500gt prexflow?

if so how did you get them to fit? I expected a little fiddling to do, new castings and old engines, but when I do get them in place I can't get to the bolts, looks impossible to me so any guidence would be great :D

been on it all morning and not long before I give in and hit the cider

its common knowledge that these manifolds are a right shit to fit. are you bolting the manifold on with the carbs connected to them ???. you may need someone with double jointed arms  it is possiable but takes alot of effing and blinding :thumbsup:

you will deffo be able to get allen bolts to fit from your local fixings supplier, they should be a unc thread but not sure what size, its probably your best bet

Yep allen head bolts & a cut down allen key. Its a right pain

One more thing... make sure the castings of the manifolds are the same thickness. Sometimes they're not & you have to space out with washers cut in half to get a good seal against the head

Easier with D'ellortos as the fuel banjo is away from the drip rail and use a 1o5Speed single piece inlet manifold as it raises the carbs up so you can get to the bolts easier and its only one thing to hold
