minim4rt Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Does anyone hear go to drifting events? Do you have any pics?? i did see some earlier but im bugerd if i can find them. Would be fun but dont fancy the repair bills.
Jelly Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Drifting is the preserve of boy racers, and is about as entertaining as watching paint dry.. All in my personal opinion of course.. [/DISCLAIMER] Anyway, when you watch the videos they do it around a MASSIVE ring with an enormously wide track. Silly buggers still manage to crash though..
minim4rt Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 Maby so but its a good excuse to realy arse about. And halereos when a 60k 350z goes crash big time. hehe

Mrp Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 I have always wondered how you can call it racing? The fastest way around a track is tidy, not sideways, so how do you judge who is going sideways enough and who is not? Just seems to me to defeat the point of going round a track. If you want to go sideways come into the forrests, dropping a wheel in the ditch at 70 thats drifting.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted January 10, 2007 Admin Report Posted January 10, 2007 Each to their own ..... I love watching the Ricer drifting ... it's good fun and very skilled when you go to watch the high level competitions Martin .... you do drifting all the time in your hot rod mate
Daggle Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Not my scene, got put off by the whole fast and furious thing.... I mean c'mon in the california sunshine those cars look allright, but in rainy Medway with some spotty 17yr old at the wheel of his chavvy Saxo with blue washer lights, they just look like a tit

Daveyboy20 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 thats true but its not them that do the drifting! Its matt black nissan 200sx's and old Toyota corollas. And ridiculously powerful old skylines with locked diffs. Its pretty cool to watch in the flesh and see them rip their tyres to shreds! lot of skill involved, its not racing though thats for sure, its just a different way of showin control really.
