steve mk2 Posted June 17, 2010 Author Report Posted June 17, 2010 peter baldwin i believe time a made a phone call really..... def need to get mine there as well, wonder how his rollers compare to track n road. I got 119 bhp from track n road last year I didn't enjoy it their either bloke wasNt very friendly also turns out they didn't know wat they wer doing coz my carbs wer jetted wrong. I went to peter Baldwin He was wiked and great bloke soo bloody clever i'd recomend him to everyone!!! His machines are 1980 technology so no printout I'm affraid u can only see it on the screen. The best thing about him too is he has all the spares like if he didn't have those jets I would have had a wasted journey.. My engine is a caterham super 7 xflow it's got alot of headwork done to it the valves are almost toching roller rockershaft and double valve springs double timeing chain pipercross bp285 cam dellorto twin 40s fiesta electric ignition janspeed exhaust and system peter says the thing holding it back now is my cam if I want more power that's wer I need to go next because that's the max he can get out of it. Tbh I thought 285 was a good cam but he recons it's quite mild?

Tbh I thought 285 was a good cam but he recons it's quite mild? Had the same experience at Track N Road, mine made 151 with a missfire at the top end, but they wanted to close up early so it wasnt looked in to and i was left with it as it was that was 1000 miles after its build. My engine builder said to go Peter Baldwin as he is the man for setting up carbs, also good if his got the jets for dellorto's that suit me as i have twin 40's as well. not too worried about BHP as i know its a proven 150+ at track n road, just want a nice running engine!
steve mk2 Posted June 18, 2010 Author Report Posted June 18, 2010 I'd go their if I wer u mate coz track n road done my jets wrong! Mine runs so well now I can't believe it took it out in the wet today and couldn't stop the wheels from spining. Baldwin has completely transformed my car I'm so happy with it now and even better it only cost me £140 and even better dads engine he put in his caterham after giving me this one is 130BHP wahooo!!! Lol he's probably gonna ask for it back now

Could do with upgrading mine
