so close to buying a mk3 escort on ebay - am i mad?

to use as my main 'sensible' daily driver since my little cinquecento is almost certainly going to be written off

 

am i mental? i had a mk4 escort for years, was a decent car. never had a mk3 though

 

got an hour or so of agonising over it left

our lass bought one a couple of years back, was a 40k one owner ex motibilty car, drove really well and always was reliable, go for it if you like it.

yeah i do like it, it's low mileage, 5 speed, full service history and looks well clean. 1300 too so should be ok on petrol (although hadn't even thought about the unleaded issue)

 

if it doesn't go up too much at the end i may just buy it and sod the consequences

cheap tax too, just use some lead additive with your fuel, to be honest I have ran 4 old fords and I always forget to put in the additive and its never done any harm that I can see

had to be sensible and let that one go - i can't have three cars - the mrs would kill me

 

i'll have to wait until i hear what's happening with the cinq before i get another one

 

reckon it will be either a mk3 or mk4 escort or a mk1 or mk2 fiesta though
