Mk5 Cortina Crusader (The Turd)

Just thought id pop this piccy of mine on here as ive never posted a pic of it. Need to get some more pics as this is the only one ive got on the cpu.

I bought The Turd off ebay and lucky for me shes not been welded and only requires cosmetic improvements. Its called The Turd due to the lovely shade of brown she is. Shes a daily driver, well not at the minute. Im currently driving a Escort mk2 ghia.

The Turds currently up on axle stands waiting for a 5spd and fresh 2.1 built to a drivable and hopefully quick spec.

Ive smacked it with the lowering stick front and back, stuck on gaz adjustables all round and polybushed front to back. Wheels are lasers painted strato silver with rio brown detailing.

There's a blue Cortina Crusader down my way but fairly standard. If only the guy would lower it.

cheers guys, it just didnt look right at standard ride height. Also the difference in handling, its like driving a completely different car. The only downfall is small speed humps that stretch the width of the road. You know the ones that your fronts go up and over so you need the clearance to drive till the rears get there. I once used the cross member as a shovel going along a dirt lane.

what size tyres are they ?

 

ive got a mk5 cortina crusader but its not standard, its satin black lowered 15 inch rims etc etc etc

hi, tyres are Kleber's 185/70/13 and fookin grippy. Ive never stuck to the road in the wet like this before, way less understeer much more control
