mk1 consul help needed

hi guys ,anyone out there in osf land had any experience playing with or modding mk1 consuls/zephs/zods im trying to figure out a front suspension set up but kind of coming up with nothing

 

any ideas or experience

You might have more luck on the NSRA site mate but I know skippy off here recently sold a modded mk1

Im currently installing a MK3 Cortina Double wishbone setup into a Mk1 Consul for the missus. The chassis/subframe conversion kit im using was originally destined for my mk2 Zephyr...try a Guy called Paul at Wheng Parts for the conversion kit.

 

Other than that im sure the mk1 suspension is the same as mk2, so you can always try the route i chose which was to chop the front springs and thicken the oil in the dampers. To go hand in hand with that i had my rear springs decambered 2 inch and 2 inch lowering blocks.

 

Try the new zealand website Galeforce Zephyrs they were also a great help and have a few guides on how to do stuff...
