John Hargreaves Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 I just got my tickets for ford fair track time and one of the rules is that any kind of video equipment is not allowed. I was wondering if anyone had tried in car filming in previous years, how keen the marshalls are about it, what the logic is behind it etc. It's my first time at ford fair and it would be great to have a souvenir of a few laps of the Silverstone GP circuit, but I don't want to get kicked out for trying if they are a bit keen over it. I emailed FF admin and they replied with a rather blunt 'no video equipment is allowed, thanks' (total message, no explanation). I have a proper roll cage pro clamp attached, so there's no chance of loose gear but they weren't interested. Anyone got any previous experiences?
DEP Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 I think as long as the camera is properly mounted, and not held on with cable ties, , you should be fine, but if unsure, just ask at the drivers briefing before your track time slot.
