Just pick up a 2litre dohc sierra hatchback. What can i use for my mk5 tina. elec window motors??/ c/l etc, ideas please. Think it has rear discs to will they be any use??

Nothing will bolt straight on, the rear discs will with brackets and machine work to the halfshaft pluss altering the brake line to lower the bias to the rear, the twink will go in if you make engine mounts, gearbox mounts and a new prop (if you use the MT75 gearbox ?) pluss all the wiring and mods to the fuel tank ect.

leccy windows will go in with some alteration, C/L ? depends on what year the car is? early ones with the rod operated C/L motors will fit with again some fiddling the later cable ones are harder to get in.

It is on a J reg. Believe it is a carb model and was putting in the engine to type 9 already fitted.

Did not realise c/l changed, so not really a lot to go in then!!

Are the calipers the same on cosworth ones, just to aid the ebay listing!!

Not sure on the rear caliper they are solid and i think cossie are vented rears ?

The twin cam wont fit straight on the type 9 they were never fitted to em from the factory, you need a diesel type 9 bellhousing and the release bearing needs sorting but i cant remember what one it is off the top of me head sorry :?

should be EFI the carb twink was only available for 6 to 9 months so nearly all are on a G/H reg but it could be a late sold one from a dealers so you never know

I really need to actually look at this car . I got it running and have not lifted the bonnet again yet. Reason i thought it was a carb one was the grey round ford filter on top.

i have a p100 1800 td type 9 in the garage so if you could try and remember which release bearing it would be good. Does it use the standard pinto flywheel/clutch and starter once converted.

Cheers
