nikmag2 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 I already asked the boys on the irishescortclub an thought i'd run it by you lot to see what you think? I was thinkin of buying another classic ford to use as a daily while the ghia gets some attention, (it'll probably end up as a full restoration). So I heard of this local and had to have a look. Now the bad news, He bought the car in scotland for £1300 it cost him £200 to get home, he drove it for 6 months, (it had t&t) he put it in the shed and stripped it interior, engine an box, then he started cutting lumps out of it. Now he wants £1000 for the car. I think he's taking the piss, what do you think? I offered him £600 ( a lot for that car but its a mile up the road) he said no he'd rather brake it.
banarama Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 i think your offering him a very good price mate, considering the work it needs
baz105e Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 lol the shell is pretty fooked to be fair mate, i've just given a shell away for free which was propably only as bad as this one, if i were you i would save your pennies and look for a better shell and as for £1000 he's having a turkish mate
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 As Baz says, you can get a hell of a lot better shells for much less. As an example, I bought a shell with axle, struts and discs but no engine/box/interior for £250. It needed minimal welding and the front wings are sound, although the front panel needs replacing. This was a three years ago, so you're probably looking at £500 now tops. Get another, there are plenty around.
Kieran Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Deffo not worth a grand, not even 600!
