MK1 Cortina parts

It's so difficult to find parts for MK1 Cortinas. Does anybody have a list or some kinda of idea what other parts interchange to a Cortina with little or no modification. E.G. MK1 Escort crossmember. Things like that?

what kind of parts? going escort would mean a major rack conversion

I mean just in general. There seem to be very few Cortina uprated or upgrade parts. All seems to be Scrote or Capri. I just used the crossmember as an example of something that can be swapped easily. I'm happy with the steering box, I just drive to suit it

i know what you mean, you just have to get creative

 

capri leaf springs are the same dimensions so you can use 2.8 single leafs, the same goes for the front hubs so you can use 2.8 vented discs

 

engine parts on the whole are the same as a crossflow with the exception of pistons

 

gearboxes are generally similar too with reguards to 2000e's i think the mk2 rs2000 box is a little larger and has differnt mounts

 

what sort of things do you want to do to your cortina?

2.8 hubs fit? on the standard Cortina leg you mean? Anyone have any knowledge on how to get those Capri brakes on.. I don't wanna spend hundreds on 2.25 springs etc when the setup I have lets me blitz most modern crap anyway
