strange pinto heads don't turn up often, i'd like to know!!

As I see a Mercury on the pic i'd say it could be an Esslinger head.

Doesn't look like a Warior head or an early Cosworth head.

I know there where more manufacturers in that days that did 16V heads for the OHC.

Or otherwise somebody bodged something together.

 

Looking at the engine code its an American spec low compression 2.0 OHC. ( 8:1cr).
