1) fuel octane rating is too low

2) excessive engine temperature

3) excessive compression ratio

4) too much timing advance

5) idle speed too high

6) tight valves or damaged spark plug causing a hot spot

7) spark plugs whose heat range is too high

Tick over would be the cause then mate bring it down to about 950 rpm and try that
