Duratec gearbox

Hi all, for anyone readin this and running a duratec, what gearbox and bellhousing are you using, I heard as its a mazda/ford unit then some mazda gearboxes may fit ie rx7, mx5, anyone know if this is true, and has anyone on here turbo'ed a duratec? cheers

I used a 6 speed out of a new shape mx5 which comes with bell housing intact but make sure you get the gear stick with it as they are £200 new.

Cheers mate , any idea on the size compared to a type 9, ie my gbox tunnel is tight around the type 9, cheers again

Is it hydraulic or cable clutch? mind I dont fancy cuttin the Pop up again after just gettin it on the road so probably go the type 9 route, thanks for the valuable information, cheers
