Not bored, but thinking LS1 engine!

Im more than happy with the XE power i have, but i cant help but get punch drunk on the LS1 engine figures, and the weight!-at only 30kg more! im sure it will be an awsome engine in the capri!

 

any thoughts?

How much would it cost for the engine, box, loom and management? I guess you'd also need a new prop and rear axle to take the power. And possibly some chassis strengthening too. I'd love to see it done, but I reckon it would be pricey.

will need an lsd and decent shafts, better suspension to cope and decent rubber to get it on the floor

get the ls6,you can run the ls1 on a holley.couple of wires and your off.find um on ebay cheap enough or check out sumit racing website in the states.there crate engine prices are excellent value

im just thinking that as i wont have the room for a mk1

 

i might as well do it to the mk3 its going in the garage next year for a full strip down, rebuild, strengthened, proper axle, gearbox, the works, and yep it will take a few years (at least) but then i will the car truly set-up how i want, with no more rot, or running gear niggles, ...may stick with XE, ditch the body kit and lighten it, ...or go LS1/2/6/7 ??
