Registration number Cortina MK1

Hi, I have a short question about a Cortina MK1, I looked for one with a French registration, but on the registration papers is the wrong number. There is only one number wrong.

 

Is there somewhere on the car itself also a chassis number or registration number or only on the tags?

only the very original cars still have the number on the inner wing + that was

the only place a mk1 or mk2 was stamped.
