willmk2 Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Does anyone on here have any information on here atall about a mk1 escort with the registration TTH 270L
mk1mexico Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Recognise the reg, is it olympic blue with blue stripes and a square front plate??
In The Pit Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 I thought I may have the answer but texting a mate of mine to check the reg number the car I know of is TTH 228L. If your interested as to what happened to this one it was a 1300 L 2 door that became a rally car and I believe the owner emigrated and left the Escort sitting in his parents farmyard for atleast 10 years before a mate bought it around 1998 for spares for his 1300E, he then crushed it and buried it down a muddy track that leads to fields, in the winter you can see the arse end complete with bumper and tail lights sticking out the ground.
FredTransit Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 The vehicle details for TTH 270L are: Date of Liability 01 01 1986 Date of First Registration 14 09 1972 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1300CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour BRONZE Vehicle Type Approval This vehicle can be licensed at a DVLA Local Office without the V5C Registration Certificate Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle 6 Months Rate £68.75 12 Months Rate £125.00 Not looking good, not taxed since 1986.....
willmk2 Posted October 28, 2010 Author Report Posted October 28, 2010 Ahh it was my dads dads escort, he sold it to a rally driver way back. I guess it was probably used as a doner car, Thanks so much guys for the information !!! Really interesting!
