My Old JPS Capri and My First Car, Also Capri.

So these are my first and second cars. The first was a 1978 Mk3 Capri, 1.6 engine courtesy of Burtons which was a flyer Owned it for a couple of years until I was involved in an accident which was just as much my fault as the third parties. Stripped her down and of she went to the crushinator

 

 

 

This was of course back in the day it was cheaper to re shell than repair

 

After that I found a 1975 1.6 JPS Capri. Nice and genuine including the factory black headlining, black and gold rialto seating and black bumpers amongst others. She was tatty but complete and needed a new floorpan on the drivers side and a pair of new sills and new front wings which she duly got Ended up matt black for a while too. Also treated to a clean up of the wheels which were proper tatty and a 4 spoke RS steering wheel. Engine swapped out of the silver one, Burton exhaust, quickshift, quickrack, bilsteins etc etc. No expense spared and then rallied at every opportunity

That one ended up getting crushed between a bus and a transit and was left looking like a banana. After that I went on to Mantas and other stuff (hey at least I stayed RWD) and here I am full circle looking for a Capri again

 

 

 

 

 

I thought I had pics of the JPS written off but cant find them but it was proper shagged! Still got parts from it knocking about somewhere

 

So who wants to sell me a mint Mk 3 3.0 S then??? I promise i'll look after it better as i'm not 18 and stupid any more
