bomber1 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 is there any tel tale signs of a 1600x-flow being out of a mex as apposed to anything else? or is split the engine down to measure valve sizes etc?
turnover Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 most original mex engines were 711m blocks so have a look on the side ,and the number should be there

Col-ashtonmobile Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 should have a big winged sump
X FLOW EDDY Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 And it should have ( if its been taken from a mk1 mex ) the heavy duty altanator brackit that fixes to a point on the side of the block up near the water pump.
