Thankyou

While I'm on, can anyone confirm Ive understood what needs doing with the wiring? As far as I know, you just extend the battery pos to the boot, make a new short battery earth to the boot floor and attach the old battery earth to the chassis in the engine bay - is that right?

what i did was nip to local scrappy

find a 5 series bmw or 7 series

look in the boot

remove the battery cable all the way through the car,in the engine bay you will find a heavy duty junction box.

i mounted the jct box on the inner front wing of the capri and then you can mount everything off there

just bolt your earth cable to a good earth point in the boot.(i did 2 diferent earth points)

cost me £10 at the scrappies :)

got a company making me a tray to fit my battery, alloy, swagged holes, bolt down clamp, made to measure - £22.50

the cable will be another £20 but I like new stuff when its potentialy dangerous stuff

So its just the battery pos cable that needs to go the distance - as I suspected

I was a bit wrong about my custom tray - its costing 32.50 not 22.50
