only trouble with the cat n fiddle is it is now has average speed cameras all along it :sad::lol: although the bottom road through it isnt bad (sneaky shortcut for when behind wagons and tourists

I'm up for it providing it doesn't clash with work and I don't get an invite to the wedding (not expecting one as I didn't invite them to mine :D )

Shame about the cat and fiddle road...cos of the bikers throwing themselves at the scenery the roads been ruined.

The A623s not a bad run from Baslow to Chaple en la frith, some long sweepers and tight twisty bits, although its been slowed to a 50 limit latley.

The A5012 the via gellia road into matlock bath is also good but as the day is a holiday probably full of bikers.

A57 Snake pass is a classic of course ladybower res to glossop.

The 624 out of Glossop back towards chapel en la frith is not too bad you could link from there to winnats pass and Castleton.

and tourists, they are a menace on that road as you will come round a blind corner and one will be stopped in the road

the matlock bath area is one to avoid on a bank holiday or a sunny sunday as traffic tails back to whatstandwell and matlock with the amount of people passing through or visiting

i like the idea of ashbourne to tideswell :-)

early phone discussions have sort of agreed a start point near chesterfield as its easily acessible for most  but we'll add more details after the 6th of feb  we're deffinately planning a stop off for lunch at a pub somewhere but no idea where yet as we'll have to do a dummy run and try and get the backing of a landlord to let us occupy their carpark with some retro motors
