Hello everyone, this is a project i'm currently working on.

Started out as a 1:24 ERTL estate car, but when i started working on it, it had a horribly painted bonnet and horribly painted wheels.

I'm not sure what else to say really, i'll just let the pictures do the talking...

 

As it looked when I started :

 

Engine stripped down (will be getting painted) :

 

Empty engine bay - may have to add some 'one off' components in here... :

 

Inner wings and arches will be getting repainted :

 

The nasty wheels.... :

 

And some MUCH better replacements, courtesy of ebay, from a 1:18 Norev Capri - with a set of low profile 1:24 scale tyres :

 

With plenty of camber!

 

Well that's it so far, i will update the thread as and when stuff happens!

Dont hate me but i like those nasty wheels Looks great mate deffo keep the black bonnet maybe paint centres of pepperpots black?

i was thinking of repainting the bonnet gloss black, rather than the thick, gloopy matt black it is now.

and i'm gunna decide on a colour for the pepperpots after i paint the body, i think i'm going to do it two-tone, but undecided yet!

update again today.... found a trailer for it when it's done...

 

 

and this would be awesome! (mini inspired 'sideways on' approach) Shame it's getting kept for a future project

right.... not much of an update today...but i was getting some wacky ideas from these two...

 

 

 

so i did a (very) quick crappy mock up on ms paint....and i'm not sure whether to go ahead with it or not.... your ideas?
