bigglesmk2 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Central locking has gone crazy T reg mk2 mondeo....sometimes all the doors lock and unlock and other times only 1 or 2 of the doors will lock and unlock. ....Im thinking it's the module but i dont know where that is ? Oh by the way...Hi
Savvi Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Sit inside & shut the doors, try locking from the inside or get someone to lock from outside. Watch the inside handles to see if one is slower then the others, push it shut manually see if it stops lock / unlocling ? Probably a door motor not going fully closed, by watching them might give you an idea of which one.
squadge78 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 module is up on the right behind the dash, think it has 5 plugs in it,look up to the right of the accelerator pedal. pull the carpets up in both front footwells and check for waterleaks, they used to leak water and rot the loom near the sills in the front which caused all sorts of central locking faults. also check for any door handles not moving as previously stated which could point to faulty latches.
