gazcos Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Lovely mate, I actually remember this car when it had "Pro Street" rear end . I've seen it since and often wondered if it was the same car !!
granny V8 Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 Cheers mate, yeah the guy who done the pro street conversion, Ian quarterman, didn't like the way it drove so he put it back to normal Granada IRS, it's still the same car tho
thestig77 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 that looks like some serious bit of kit
martinus Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Hi, very nice car! Do you know what kind of springs you have on the front axle? I put in a 2.9 V6 with A4LD and the springs really started to sag. After putting in new ones, the same happened. Original engine was a 2.6 with C3. I know that the A4ld is heavier than the C3 but didn't know it had so much effect on it. Plan is to save up for a V8 but I'm affraid I won't have any springs left.. grtz martinus
granny V8 Posted November 28, 2011 Author Report Posted November 28, 2011 Firstly get rid of that C3 as they are not as strong as a c4, secondly my mate who put the car together originaly (ian quarterman) ie. dropped the engine in etc swapped them for Mk2 2.8 springs, he also said that a standard set of mk1 3.0 springs will be fine
martinus Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Cheers! I guess I have to look further, or the springs I got are not the ones I ordered... I'll start saving up for the V8 and then continue the spring quest Thanks!
The Author Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Now that is great looking motor...nice one
