Hi

I am ordering front and rear screen rubbers from East Kent Trim next week (pay day!). They list a solid type, or one to take a chrome/black insert. Is there anything different in how well they hold a screen in place, and has anyone got a photo of any OSF car using the chrome insert type?

Thanks

No difference at all m8 when the chrome insert goes in it spreads the rubber apart which makes the seal. If I was you I would go for the black rubber  Or you will have to buy the tool to insert the chrome and it sometimes slips out around the corners and if not careful fooks your paint up.

if your not a fan of chrome you can buy black insert, as for the tool slipping out get someone to fit it who knows what they are doing, and there is only 1 screen for a mk2 escort unless its an estate or van then you use a mk1 screen. Variation of tints are as following

Clear

Bronze

Green

Bronze with blue top tint

Green with blue top tint

heateds only come in clear
