As far as I know mate they where rectangle but alot of peeps prefered the round lights so may have been changed at a later date my mate brought one a little while ago and he`s thinging of changing to round

I had a friend with an original N plate 2 door 1300E in the mid 80's. It was a while ago and the car is almost certainly long gone but I was in it many times and could swear it had round lights even back then.

My bothers got a M-reg purple 2dr 1300e being restored which will be fully standard,that came with rectangle lights and spot lights!

i know someone who has a 1300e and has done 17000 miles it is mint and he had it resprayed to because the factory paint problem meant rain was a no no. any way he is putting it on ebay to see what some would offer for it don't he will sell it though what ever the money.

 

oh and im nearly 100% certain that they all are rectangle with rectangle spots

Yeah they all came with rectangle lights. I like both on the MKI and MKII basically I want whatever that model is supposed to have fitted.

as far as i am aware 1300e had rectangle lights i prefer round ones myself
