If I earned £3640 - £3900 per year, I'm not sure I'd want to blow 70 - 74% of it on an Escort. Fortunately for us all today of course (and for Ford then) enough people DID want to blow those sorts of sums on new hot escorts

I watched 'British Historic Rally' on Motors TV yesterday and can see where a number of Mk1 and MK2 Escorts went, spread all over rally courses! ~
