boXXer Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Ive now put a rs2000 tank in my mk2, but filled it with approx 10 litres of fuel, and its showing just over half a tank of fuel, which cant be right??? Do all the senders use the same resistance? or do the dash's vary? if so, is there any way i could put a in line resistor on the earth lead to give it "less" earth and bring the needle down a bit?
samurai Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Thats does not sound right. Voltage going to the sender and when the lever in the tank moves it changes the resistance which changes the amp reading on the gauge. Maybe the sender is faulty. What voltage are you reading going to the sender?
