granny V8 Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Hi guys, some little rat bag tried to nick my wheels off my Mk1 Granny!! I came out Sunday morning to find a wheel nut on the floor and my rear wheel nuts loose! Now i know what some of you's may be thinking, "that silly bast**ds' left his wheel nuts loose!" Let me tell you, i have owned the vehicle over 7 years and regularly check my wheel nuts especialy with all that power and not only that, the wheel nuts get stuck in the holes when trying to remove them! My car is very well known and anyone caught going anywere near my car with the intention of causing damage or removing said items will be delt with accordingly Not only that, my wheels WILL NOT fit any other car as they have been custom modified to fit over my after market hubs, have hidden recognition marks and are 1 of a kind. I dont meen to be rude folks but just think how you'd feel if some toe rag tried nicking your pride and joy or bits off of it. If anyone knows where i can get some decent locking wheel nuts please let me know as they are really hard to get hold of for my wheels. Kind regards P.S* Pics of my wheels can be seen on my posts

CrazyCharlie Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 my dad had the his revo's nicked off his anglia, we woke in the morn to find it on bricks the ba%^&rds
nickb Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 it took a little modification and swapping to the orginal washer from the revo nuts but I used something like this, mine were grayson but can't find the model number. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cosmic-Supa-Lock-Sleeve-Nuts-020%2f10G_W0QQitemZ370357674663QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=224978930091&rvr_id=224978930091&cguid=d805dc1c1260a0aad4a2d142fed9846f
dacar Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Its a pisser but put 2 sets of locking nuts on each wheel as the harder the scum needs to work the less likely they are to keep going and move to another target. Should have their balls cut off and then peeled and salted!!
granny V8 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 yeah mate definately, the thing that gets me the most is that their only worth about £30 scrap but are priceless to me, Id love to catch one of em' whilst he's trying to nick them! He'd never LOOK at another set of wheels again!! Thanks for the help anyways guys
