payne'e Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 i've been a bit busy the past few months doing a few changes to my mk1. as i got it first off i got rid of the citroen and peugeot brake setup and stripped, re-painted then fitted capri bilstein struts with -2" springs with 2.8 discs and calipers up front then on the rear i fitted cossie calipers with fiesta discs then fitted my superlites, 4 cibies and alloy doorcards front and rear once back on the road i had issues with exhaust scrappage which annoyed me as i couldn't drive it anywhere so i had to book my car in and get the exhaust chopped about. which i am happy about as now i can drive it and have been most of the day and what a day to be blasting about in. got loads of stares off people everywhere.

payne'e Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 cheers chaps all i know about it being on a r plate is on the v5 it's an escort 1300e and at the bottom of the v5 special notes section it says rebuilt-assembled from parts some or all of which were not new. next jobs are to fit my strut brace and remove the chrome strips around the windows and fit my peep mirrors.
SebringRS Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Not unless as a mk1 it was one of the last ones built, and didnt get registered until 76 (may have been on a dealers forecourt or bought and just garaged, not registered)
