what sort of diff is this?

A little help needed

 

looks like an english axle diff and informed that it is but the lsd mechanism is very different to what I have had in the past. informed that it works through viscous mechanism perhaps a bit like the sierra diffs.

 

never seen one before and thought I would ask the question.

If you can count the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion, I'm sure someone could give you at least the ratio

i can tell you the ratio - its a 3.89. but as for the diff...., id like to get it to bits and have a look tho. i think it might be a spool diff, if you have some half shafts stick em in, hold one shaft and turn the other, if they both go the same way its an lsd/spool, if you can turn one and the other stays still its an open diff or a shagged lsd. my money is on spool.
