Pinto to Bullet

Hi there,

 

I have a Cortina MK1 with bullet gearbox with steershift. I want to put a pinto in the car with this gearbox.

 

Does this fit? What flying wheel and clutch do I have to use?

I think you use a 1600 flywheel and you can get a heavy duty 2ltr clutch to suit that.I have done it myself but many years ago but its not that difficult

use a 1600gt flywheel and clutch from a xflow and xflow starter. is it staying hydraulic clutch or cable?

It's staying hydraulic at the moment. At a later stage I will probably swap to a type 9 gearbox, but than I have to replace my front bench for 2 seats. And I like the steer shifter and bench to much.

 

Will the bullet last the torque from the pinto? It's a stock pinto.
