g-man Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Changed my engine in my escort from 1100 to a 2lt pinto sent off my log book with the changes got a letter back after 5 weeks sayin need a receipt from a garage confirming engine number , size (cc) fuel type of new engine An inspection report from a body such as AA or RAC An inspection report 4 insurance purposes written confirmation from the engine manufacturer showing the engine number n size can any1 help me plz on how 2 get round it. there is a way. cuz did it all myself and picked engine up from scrappy thought i.d ask in here cuz what better ppl 2 ask then u guys Thank u Gman
Posse Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Fooking nightmare ive just gone through all this ended up taking it to a garage so they can tell me on headed paper what i told the dvla The AA charge £65 for the report just take it to your local garage bung them a drink and getting printed on headed paper.
