Fitting non-standard seats advice needed :)

Hey guys, have taken a fancy to a certain pair of seats for my car (mk2 escort), however it say's,

 

"the mountings / runners are flat bottomed i.e. these seats will sit flat and square on a flat level floor. If your floorpan has any raised or angled bits of bodywork at the seat mounts you will need to consider how to mount these"

 

So is it worth my while getting these or is it gonna be a real ballache to get them to fit my car? I mean I don't mind a bit of messing about but don't wanna get stuck spending a fair bit more cash, or just having them sat in my garage! Any advice would be much appriacated from any of you guys who have been doing similar things, i'm pretty novice / unexperienced when it comes to doing anything with my car, so everythings a first time trial and error atm

Maybe i'm just being a dumbass even worrying about it and it won't be a problem!

I wouldnt worry too much, there are ways around everything, you may be able to use your existing runners on the new seats.what seats are they that your interested in? LG

i fitted new seats to my mk2 escort a few weeks ago. if i can do it then pretty much anyone can. the trouble is alot of firms say all that gumf to cover their asses. just take your time and it will be quite easy to do.

I put Scorpio front seats in the Cortina 10 years ago, and used the Cortina frames, just had to elongate the Scorpio seat chassis holes a bit, replaced them a few years ago with GT seats, still got the Scorpio seats in store.....
