Jeff HPE Motorsport Posted October 10, 2011 Author Report Posted October 10, 2011 Thats good power for a 1700, whats the spec? Joe Lightend & balanced crank/rods/pistons/flywheel. forged pistons, roller rockers, big valve head, kent 262 cam kit with adjustable vernier, running 13 to 1 compression ratio, cometic head gasket, tony law exhaust manifold, matchported inlet manifold with 48 webers Dry sump system, competition electronic distributor a few other trick bits, We allways new that this engine like others we have done to a simular spec would make mid 150s but we fitted one of our special removable plate front timing covers to enable us to swing the cam timing to its best power while on the rollers result hence the 165 bhp...
