  1. The bloke who built my gearbox does type 9's with a 2.98 first conversion for not a lot of money and his work is first class. He has his own alloy bell housings cast too which are reasonably priced... Steve at Sp components. 01527 894232

  7. Thats great news mate, would be slightly embarrassing being beat by a fully trimmed road car!! Joe You've no worries mate, you'll be in the 11's by the time mines back on the road. I have allowed dome time in my 2 year schedule to come as see yours tearing it up! i hope so mate, im going to have a good crack at it anyway. Just need some more seat time and the axle to stop breaking every run!! Iv got a another cwp thats hopefully of better quality than the last 1, and am going to run 13's in a bit to get the car off the line properly, theres easily another 2 10ths in the 60ft.. Oh and if its still no good you'll have to drive it for me Joe

  15. It made 166.2 bhp and 125.5lbft of torque. pretty pleased with that, 97 bhp per litre
  16. Now i would love to see your X-flow in joes car nick. It might not be as quick!! I know iv joked in the past that it was built on the kitchen table but in reality its been a proper serious effort, a lot of time and thought went in to building this engine. It is a home built engine but it wasn't built on the kitchen table really! Joe

  20. Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot, im very proud lol!!! Your right tho Col, its been frustrating and at times a complete pain in the arse but now it feels like its been worth while, 11 second trike thats impressive im still well happy with fastest car tho Cheers Darren, hopefully i can get it lifting a wheel with some proper 60fts eventually. cheers joe
  21. Iv finally had my car out again after breaking the gearbox last time out. Its taken a while to sort things out but i eventually got it done and spent the weekend at Shakey for the hot rod drags. After a disappointing saturday only managing 2 runs due to it being so busy, sunday started off well, First run and we were back in to the 12's which was a big relief with a 12.9 @ 105 mph. The 60ft was somewhat off what we we hoping for but a 2.0 with a 12.9 was promising. We changed the tyre pressures and queued up again. The car felt much better off the line and ran through with a 12.5 @ 106.8 mph. To say i was pleased was an understatement, 60ft still wasn't great but wasn't too bad either 1.74 with wheel spin. We went around again, unfortunately the car bogged down a bit off the line, 1.80 60ft but ran through with a 12.6 @ 107.1 mph As far as im aware This is now the fastest x flow powered car in the uk and im sure theres going to be a bit more to come, with some better 60ft's and me actually getting more time driving the car instead of fixing it i hope it will run down in to the low 12's, Not bad for a home built 1700... cheers Joe
  22. awesome time and its a real credit to you. Times like that cant come easy. Well done Joe
  23. If you have a problem with your dizzy or coil id give H&H a call, Phill and Lee are very helpful and i know they will go out of there way to help customers, especially if there having problems. They really helped me out and it ended up being my fault and nothing to do with the dizzy. joe
