I got a mate near you just finishing off a MK1 estate, he dont come on here as he's lost his username/ password but always moaning he dont know anyone in his local area !!!!

Hello savvi, Yes the car is from malta (how did you know). It came here with a lairy pinto and now runs a rover v8. The conversion was done by Fairfax bodyshop owner jeff meads (flame pop)

A mate of mine brings them in from Malta (or used to before they all got snapped up) yours looks like one of them he brought in, the chrome trim highly polished paint and wheels give it away for me!!!

 

I bought a Mk1 estate from him, still have it tucked away, tried to sell it a few times but didnt get enough money offered think the ad is still on here, i wanted the engine & box which i've now removed so it's just a rolling shell, unusally it does have some rust in it but nothing as bad as a 1968 Uk one !!!

 

When did you get yours ? It could be one of his !!!

We got the car last year, it had chrome weller steels and we brought it off ebay. It wasnt in a very good shape but jeff has worked wonders with the car, would really like to bring it out in osfdc. Would love to build an estate with a cossie in it. How much is your shell.

Managed to find the buried ad !!!!

 

I have collected bits for it over the last year, i have Mex fibre glass wings along with some other bits like X/flow engine & box.

 

It's sitting on 12" steel wheels now has the capri seats fitted need replacing and as said proves that not all Malta cars are mint !!!!

 

I'd take £1200 with the wings, need splash panels welding and some of the front chassis rail where the Td engine was fitted and had a bit too much torque for them

Basically complete missus engine box,rad, prop.

It owes me nearly £2k and the engine wasnt any good in the end

I parked it over my workshop with intentions of doing the welding in any spare time then sell it on .......... but that hasnt hapened !!!!
