ORIGINAL FACTORY COLOURS

hi everyone,

 

my friend is about to paint his mk2 escort group4 spec arched road car!!!!!

he has decided to stick with a ford mk1 or mk2 escort colour. thank god....

can anyone here list all the factory colours mk1 and mk2 escorts came in. he is especially fond of red, so please list all the reds they came in.

ROSSO RED

Rosso Red is a MKIV Escort colour.

i thourght is was a mk3 colour. early 1980's. i chose it as it was the type of red i wanted on the escort when chosing. didnt want it looking like an orangy red or a browny red. if that makes sense.

Rosso Red come out in Mid 85 on MK3s (B Plate) and replaced Sunburst

 

Venetian Red is a MK2 Colour
