MK1CHRIS Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Hi all, Was looking for a site to put my MK1 Escort on and someone pointed me in this direction so here I am. My names Chris and a couple of years ago my Dad passed away leaving me this MK1 Escort. Its A beast a 1974 Escort 1.1 in purple. I'v always loved the car. He owned it virtually from new, as his car at the time went into the local Ford Dealer(DOES of Maldon)for some work. And they loaned him this! He liked it so much so he bought it. Heres some pics. She recently sailed thru her MOT.

My 1st car when I was 17 was a 1971 escort, this was back in 1986 I had a few Fords after that including a 1976 Capri and in my early 20s a Ford Orion 1.6i GHIA. I'v had allot of motors since the Orion but none of them have been a Ford(Sorry)I always wanted a RS 2000 but could never afford one..

D-FENS Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 Welcome on board mate ,your car looks lovely.I knew someone who had a mk2 cortina 1600e in anchor blue that had the GNO reg plate .The car was known as Gino by most people.
