Opinions please! what is the best internet security peckage for a home computer? ie, Norton, AVG, Mc fee....

We use it on all 10 computers at work and I have it on the computer/laptop at home as well Best of all, it costs nought

avg or avast, iwouldnt use norton or McAfee they tend to put a load on your com and slow it down alot.

Avira free version on mine ok so far but got ESET NOD32 to go on some time.This was recomended by Badgerman i think,he works in IT

I have Norton on the several laptops within my house and it slows them considerably. It also costs about £70 a year. If you use Retards Club, it really slows it. I would not recommend Norton but it does exactly what its meant to.

Norton i always find rubbish, takes up too much room on your computer

 

I used to have AVG free, mums got it now, whereas I have ESET NOD32 on both my computers, you do have to pay, but its only a small amount yearly Well worth it, does live scanning, so scans a link you click for anything dodgy when its loading and you can schedule scans for when you turn the computer on, so you dont forget, so far havent had any problems
