lilrich1991 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Hey everyone I've recently been offered a 1991 1.0 fiesta with 27000 miles on the clock for £450 this is to get me by while I'm doing my Capri does anyone know what I should be looking for in the rust department etc I don't fancy buying it to then have two cars in need of restoration any help would be greatly recieved. dave waudby Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 if its got a long mot it will be ok, but sills inner and outer and floor pans (floor pans especially where they meet the sills) rear arches rear vallance especially near bumper mounts front valance boot floor. ive got a mk3 fiesta 1,1 with xr2i kit on mot sept 12tax jan 12 only one problem exhaust blows between manifold/front pipe i would consider selling/swapping for a osf if your interested text/phone 07989885044
lilrich1991 Posted December 29, 2011 Author Report Posted December 29, 2011 i went and saw the car and its perfect appart from a 50p size scab on the o/s/r wheel arch and another scab on the n/s/f wing which im sorting i can't believe it its a time warp car im picking it up tomorrow and i cant wait to drog a set of 4 spokes on it ill blast some photos up when i have cleaned and polished it to a deep shine Rich
gjh Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Souds like a bit of a bargain that, watch for rust around the fuel filler cap, they can get really badly rusted there.
