RossMK2 Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 I am organizing the midlands to Wales on Sunday 13th may 2012 Last year had about 15 cars from Telford and 40 cars all together when we met at Wales. The drive is for ford models first produced before 1980 The run will start at Telford services (TF11 8TG) junction 4 of the m54 leaving at 10am so you need to aim to be there before 9:30. We will then drive to the Ponderosa cafe on the Horseshoe Pass Llangollen (LL20 8DR). After arriving we will stay for about 1:45 to give you chance to get a bite to eat from the cafe that sells hot and cold food and drinks. From here Aled will be taking us on a arranged route through some of the fantastic roads of North Wales onto a suprise location. We will the return to ponderosa cafe late afternoon where people can have a last look round cars and chat before leaving. These are the directions from Telford services to ponderosa cafe which I will print off for the day. 1. Head southeast 0.3 mi 2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Priorslee Rd/A464 0.2 mi 3. At Castle Farm Interchange, take the 2nd exit onto the M54 ramp to Shrewsbury 0.3 mi 4. Merge onto M54 5.3 mi 5. Continue onto A5 (signs for Shrewsbury) 18.1 mi 6. Turn right (signs for Great Ness) 0.8 mi 7. Sharp right 0.8 mi 8. Sharp left toward Little Ness Rd 1.2 mi 9. Slight right at Little Ness Rd 1.0 mi 10. Turn left at Church St/B4397 2.3 mi 11. Turn right at A5 5.1 mi 12. At Mile End Roundabout, take the 4th exit and stay on A5 heading to Llangollen/Whitchurch/A495/Wrexham/A483 7.2 mi 13. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A5 heading to Llangollen/Chirk/B5070 5.9 mi 14. Turn right at Castle Street/A539 (signs for Ruthin/Rhuthun/A542) 0.2 mi 15. Turn left at Abbey Rd/A542 5.4 mi 16. Yeomans22 Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 im in but in order to bring the escort i need a mk2 escort brakes servo tower and master cylinder in good nick, also a way of joining my current brake pipes to the new ones from the tower, i dont want to replace them all yet as i haven't got time. otherwise it will be the capri again

Yeomans22 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 looks like ill be in the escort this year, just trying to get it started but it wont, but a servo tower is on its way to me, i've already got a 2.8 capri servo etc to bolt to that, so it wont be long until its ready for the road, last taxed september 2010, so been a while since i last used it.
mk2-mad-ad Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 got to get mine fixed first as well bud last time i used mine was on this run last year lol but gearbox had a tantrum and desided it didnt want to play game any more and broke and you know how it goes when you start with one thing it always spirals and has ended up in a full under body and rear end rebuild so will have get me finger out ..............right i of in the garage
