dismantling type 9 sierra box

I have removed the tail cone from my type 9 ready to shorten the selector shaft and 3 little shim type pieces have dropped out. They are similar to a woodruff key but I don't think thats what they are, Where have they come from please.

They,ve come out of the syncro hub fit them back in open side facing downwards towards the gears not facing upwards ...

Thanks for the answer but it means absolutely nothing to me. any chance of putting that into thick shit terms so I can understand exactly what you mean please.
