mk1 mexico colours

Hi

I am looking at painting my car in a mexico colour with decals, and the colour i am quite keen on is the red.

My car is a 1971 so would like to know the colours of mexico cars at that age along with decals....

 

Also the correct name for the colour also

 

PICS would be good also.

A 71 Mexico would have been sunset red, colour code J on the vin plate (1970 - 1972). Superseded in 1972 by Sebring red. Stripes or pinstripe would have been white

Maize yellow with Black decals or pinstripe

Le Mans/Lime Green with Black decals or pinstripe

Electric/Monza Blue with White decals or pinstripe

Tawney Brown metallic with Gold pinstripe

Black with Gold pinstripe

Just what i was after...

My car is Ermine at the moment, but wanting to change colour.

The Blue sounds interesting and not heard of could be different.

The RS was never available in black with the full RS broad stripe, only a pinstripe. However I also think it would have been a good colour combination
