SebringRS Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Regisering, my dad when he imports the cars from the US, and has them registered on UK plates, it usually takes about 6-7 weeks But thats a US import, so that needs SVA, MOT etc 1st, then you fill out the import papers, then that takes about 6 weeks to go through, then once you've got the papers into the DVLA, about another week. And they'll issue you with a Reg But not sure on how different yours would be to that

This is from South Africa but ive got all the paperwork i need now, so im just going to take it all in to a dvla office and hopefully that'll speed it up

On the registration front.. they want to see it for a inspection next wednesday, then as long as all is good, i should have all the paperwork back the week after and be ready to go. My birthdays on the 26th so it would be a nice present

Its been off the road since September time having a engine re-build Its all back now and not far off starting her up again, excited isnt the word! its gone from the 1600 crossflow it was.. Too a fully rebuilt 1700. It was built by Scholar Racing which some of you may have heard of, they done a top job on it!
