locking wheel nuts - midlands wheels

Hi,

 

I bought some wheels from Midlands wheels about 4 years ago when I started the car. They're fitted now and I want some locking nuts on them to stop them going AWOL.

 

Midlands wheels do not do these but advised that I require 7/16 with 3/4 sleeved nuts.

 

Looking on eBay there doesnt seem to much in the way of these...

 

Someone one here must have had to get some similar for their car?

I'm after some of them wheels for my mk1 escort, what have you done to your car so they don't stick out, ie bubble arches, chopped axle or changed axle to anglia van ?. Appparently you have to do one of them or they stick out an extra 23mm or so.

Hi mate, my rear arches are rolled but nothing more than that. The front wings are Mexico wings. I think they fit under standard arches just. J

You've pictured the 7.5" versions are you sure yours aren't the 7" ones?

Oh, my bad.

 

The wheels i have are 7x13's not 7.5's which i think have a few rubbing issues in stock shell form.

I Won't get mine rolled then !!, So am i correct,to make the 7.5 fit i have to either bubble arch,chop axle or get an anglia van axle ?.

Seen a lot of mk1/mk2's with these wheels on without bubble arches so i assume they've all had axle's modded.
