macrs2k Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 Well i have just done a 1400 mile rd trip from the north of scotland to pick up my stunning new motor courtesy of the 2 brilliant lads at Ashton Mobile Colin and joe have gone out of there way to help me with this engine build from day one, nothings to much hassle for these guys.. Have wanted a big power pinto in my RS2000 for many years and after doing a bit of research and speaking to fellow fordies i chose to get the lads to help me out, delighted i did as i know i have made 2 lifelong friends as well as having the engine i dreamed of.. Now a fully paid up member of TEAM ASHTON MOBILE Even have the t shirt Here is a couple of pics Thanks again guys
macrs2k Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Wee update on my cracker of a new engine... Its now done 1200 miles since i fitted it and i swear it gets better everytime i drive it..Not had time to get it on the rollers yet for its final setup but hell can this thing bark Its still running a 3:54 diff but with 50 profile tyres and a 5spd box,the top speed is just plain scary Just love hunting down fast cars in a 35 yr old escort Colin and joe are always checking in to see how its performing and still ready to dish out advice day or night or just to have a laugh at what i been racing lately. Said it a million times lads but thanks again for building me the engine i always dreamed of
