mk2fiestaryan Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 driving to work on tuesday and my car started juddering like it was a fuel problem then stopped. got it recovered to my mates garage who has a lot of knowledge about this car. we changed the inline fuel filter, cleaned the fuel lines and tank and cleaned the carb. took it for a test drive then did it again, any1 know what else this could be. it only does it when it is labouring slightly up hill. confused
banarama Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 perhaps its the fuel pump ,or is it to low of fuel .
louie bagel Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 could be the condensor had that happen a couple of times on my old one
Andy44Boz Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Had the same problem on a car yrs ago, uphill-died, downhill-fine! I thought the same as you, fuel related but after much checking, cursing and swearing it was a loose spade terminal on the coil of all things, which just broke contact as the engine tilted under load!! Probably way off for yours, but worth a punt
evil knievel Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 Sounds like condensor to me. Or perhaps fuel lines getting blocked further up. Can't be anything to serious, there's not a lot to go wrong!
Mr Sam Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 check the condition of rotor and dizzy cap and plugs if its points dizzy change them and the condensor
