shipping my mk1 to sydney costs?

hi im moving to sydney at the end of november and need to decide. take my 1300e zetec with me or sell.

ive been told it would cost about £900 to ship it over but then theres tax re registering in oz and a few other fees which i am trying to get a price for.

Has anyone shipped a classic abroad before and if so what sort of price was it.

Someone i know brings stuff back from Oz and he said a container is approx £1k.

 

I think i'd be tempted to just take the running gear and out and fit it to one of the many mint shells thats apparently out there.

Sell it here ,There strict on engine swaps there iirc you cant use that with there heavy laws etc.If you do ship make sure you find out about there rules on modified cars first etc ..
