BaileyMex Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Remind me later and I'll put up a pic of iy on four spokes with balloon tyre's and then you will see the difference the tyre difference drop makes
BaileyMex Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 This was the Mex when i bought it, on 70 profile tyres, you can tell the difference in ride height straight away My she looks different now

SebringRS Posted January 10, 2013 Author Report Posted January 10, 2013 Gunna take my lotus steels into college this week and get them filled as I had them shot blasted and they've all pitted So once i've got them filled and painted, ill take them down to Midland Wheels and get them to put some 175/50's on them
BaileyMex Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 nice one, Are you getting the Lotus steels painted the normal silver? or are you going for bright green to match your underbody chav neons?

SebringRS Posted February 6, 2013 Author Report Posted February 6, 2013 Car now sitting about an inch lower at the front, just need to sort out the tyres now Oh and then to get it insured again next week, not driven it properly in a month First time it was out the garage today in about that time too
SebringRS Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 After sorting the height out, I had a brake leak, so lost all interest in it, didnt help that i hadnt driven it for almost a month thanks to having no money to insure it Got that sorted, then got round to sorting the wheels out, and putting the new tyres on Gave it a wash today and took it to take some pics
windymiller Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 What size are those tyres? Profile looks a little low?
5tox Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 I never realised how much i liked those type of wheels until seeing these pics always thought minilights were the only option but they looks the business
SebringRS Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 What size are those tyres? Profile looks a little low? 175/50/13's
XjamesX Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 Tom, if your losing interest you can always send her my way! Ha ha Looks cracking on those wheels / tyres mate
SebringRS Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 Not yet mate Gunna order my exhaust tomorrow i think, and gotta get a twin choke carb then should be a bit quicker too
nik_plant Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Looking good I'm just about to repaint my lotus steel but no what silver to use. How low is you escort?
SebringRS Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 I just used Halfords wheel silver mate, they're meant to be a slightly darker silver like Stardust, but the wheel silver was cheaper And its -2" at the front and -1.5" at the rear, gunna go 2" at the rear aswell soon as the 1.5" was a temporary block
SebringRS Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 This should help annoy the neighbours a bit more
SebringRS Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 As usual my car lasted a week working and is now broken again..... But it gave me some time today to fit my new exhaust........ Sounds much better Ran it long enough for the exhaust paste to do its thing, then turned it off and strated to fit my electronic ignition Got as far as i could and have left the rest to my dad to do saturday, as wiring isnt my best subject Hoping the ignition sorts the running issues out, but if not, it'll have the new carb fitted
SebringRS Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 Running perfect for a good 3 weeks now, hopefully have ironed out all the problems Got the brakes done the other week, still stuck with drums all round for now, just new cylinders, adjusters and shoes all round....stops much better And finally got round to fitting my Crosshair headlights today, needed some slight modding to fit, but they look perfect, much better than the halo's did, especially seens half the halo had stopped working Anyway, heres some pics Gone for some xenon type bulbs with the blue tint, as the bulbs before were rubbish.....hopefully they'll last longer than the others too Think the new lights give it a more modern look at the front
