mk2 matt Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 How hot should a diff get? I have rebuilt the diff on my escort and i think i might of overtightened the pinion bearings. Came back after a 5 mile drive and i could rest my hand on it but a fue degrees more and it would be too hot. Thanks Ian
BIG G Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 after a few more miles it will bed in and sort itself out, but will be warm / hot due to friction
